Chlorine
The second member of the halogens. A heavy, highly reactive green gas which combines with many other elements. With sodium it forms common salt.
 Flask Flask.
This glass flask contains 25ml of chlorine gas at atmospheric pressure. It's distinctive green color can just be seen if the flask is viewed against a white background. The gas was made by reacting manganese dioxide with hydrochloric acid and collecting the resulting product over water. The chlorine was then dried before filling the flask.
