Toller Art
Jim has developed a line of Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers in carefully rusted steel and copper. The red color of these dogs is nicely captured by allowing the steel to rust just a few days in the warm sun, then pounding the red rust back into the metal and sealing with a clear lacquer.
Of course, copper is the perfect material for this breed, many of whose names even include the words Copper and Brass. Jim's copper Tollers are cut and pounded from recovered copper roofing.
Both copper and steel tollers are available plain for
wall hanging, or mounted on polished heartwood walnut bases. Prices
are as follows:
