By Purity of Purest Sample (120)Here are the elements sorted in order of the purity of the most pure sample of each. In some cases the purity is accurately known, either from the original supplier in case of samples from chemical companies, or because I've had it measured. But in many cases it's not much more than an educated guess. For the small number of salts and other compounds, I've been pretty sloppy in estimating the percentage of the element in the compound: It could of course easily be calculated based on the chemical formula and atomic weights. I currently have a total of 2379 samples representing 118 different elements.
