Held in our nation's Capitol, this show was not visited by Newt Gingrich even a single time all weekend. Donna and Ellie won Best In Show Jr. Puppy Saturday morning! Ellie will be coming to live with us as a loaner dog while Hickory trains with Donna, and we're at a loss as to the procedure for hosting a Best In Show Jr. Puppy puppy. Do we need special silver food bowls, or a valet or what?
For those of you interested only in serious stuff, you may skip to the bottom of this page to see links to the conformation and obedience rings pictures.
For the rest, we begin our pictures with the obligatory John-holding-a-dog
shot, this time with Scotia (Click any of these pictures to see a full-size
version):
Followed by a couple of the standard My-God-have-you-ever-seen-such-a-dog-as-Brandy
shots:
Here is Tawney trying to look like Brandy:
And here is Andy trying to look like Brandy:
Here is another dog who knows she can't look like Brandy, but is at
least trying to look like a Toller:
Here are three Tollers who must like each other a LOT:
A bunch of Tollers including Brandy make obediance look easy (either
that or there's a biscuit truck over there):
And finally Cathy Thompson with the youngest at the show, 8 week old
Blondie:
To look up a particular activity, person or dog by name, use our ARBA Cherry Blossom Classic Picture Archive, which contains over 250 pictures from the show. (Please note that picture assignments are not perfect. If you don't see a picture under the name you expect, try looking it up by date instead. If I took it, it is there.) As with all our pictures, the URL includes the names of the people/dogs in the picture: Your browser probably displays the URL in a line at the top or bottom of the window, so you can tell who is in the picture.
Our full-site Picture Archive contains a far larger number of pictures, including more of the same people you'll see in the Cherry Blossom Classic archive.
Toller Video! We have video clips of almost
all the dogs at the show doing their thing in the ring.
Only one is on the web so far, a slow-motion clip of Aurie showing
her gait. Click for a here to go
to the videos page. I had to do this one by hand due to limited equipement,
so don't expect me to do a whole lot more anytime soon.
