| | | Haley's Comet commemorative medallion. This coin was produced in Japan in commemoration of the visit of Haley's comet in 1986. It is blank on the back face, but for $1 I'm not complaining! At the time it was made titanium was quite an exotic and expensive material and I imagine the token was quite a bit more expensive back then.
The eBay seller described it as a Chinese medallion, but in fact the inscription reads "Haley's comet commemoration" with the name Haley rendered in Japanese katakana (phonetic) lettering which is not used in China.
