If you read books about elements you will quite often come across the statement that "this element is soft enough to be cut with a knife". Vanadium, thulium and cadmium have all been thus described... although many a knife has been blunted in the attempt! At least with indium the statement is true as our exhibit (and accompanying video) unequivocally demonstrate.
