This is a chunk of erbium raw material, 3N pure, supplied by the Canadian company HEFA, meaning that this rare earth sample, like most other material used nowadays, actually comes from China. I chose this one because part of the lot/ingot # is visibly stamped on the top surface, which also shows the clamp marks and characteristic broken surfaces of having been mechanically 'torn' (not cut, actually ripped apart)
