| | |   Black Phosphorus. This black phosphorus was made by Max Whitby using the strange combination of heat and pressure needed to convert the red allotrope into black.  Amazingly, one of the required ingredients to make black phosphorus is a seed crystal of black phosphorus.  Hm.  Which came first, the chicken or the chicken?
